In 2000 the first promo and demo CDs were released, which included the Dutch dance floor hit 'Strangers' and various tracks later to be featured on the band's debut album. Within a very short period of time the promo and demo were being played at many locations throughout the Netherlands and internationally (a.o. in Germany, Belgium and Spain). After intense work at their lab, Grendel released their latest full length album in 2009. This album marks yet another turning point in the band's career and brings a whole new edge to their music; blending harsh pounding technoid structures with relentlessly haunting melodic hooks and dismal orchestration. A new breed of harsh industrial/ebm, destined to conquer both listeners at home and dancefloors world wide. Come join the harsh generation and live by the bassline!
