Directions from relevant airports:Düsseldorf (DUS)
By car:
- From Flughafenstraße take A44 following directions Velbert/A3/Oberhausen/Köln/A52/Essen
- After 2,6 km take A52 towards Essen/Oberhausen
- after 7 km change to A3 towards Oberhausen
- After 18 km use exit 12- Junction Oberhausen-West on the A42 towards Dortmund/Oberhausen
- After 17 km take exit 16-Gelsenkirchen-Zentrum, go left towards Grothusstraße/L633 and follow the signs to „Nordsternpark“

Bus 383 Bus 383 (to Buerer Straße) runs every 10 minutes, exit stop Rhein-Herne-Kanal/Krokuswinkel; duration of journey: 23 minutes, from the bus stop it is a 3 minutes walk to the festival grounds.
Köln/Bonn (CGN)
By car:
- Follow Terminalstraße and take A59 towards Köln/Düsseldorf
- After 3 km change to A3 towards Oberhausen
- after 70 km take exit 12- Junction Oberhausen-West and use A42 towards Dortmund/Oberhausen
- After 17 km take exit 16-Gelsenkirchen-Zentrum and go left towards Grothusstraße/L633 and follow the signs to „Nordsternpark“

When travelling from Köln/Bonn airport to Gelsenkirchen you have to change trains in Köln. However, this is an easy and quick journey.
