Arrival by car

The Amphitheater Gelsenkirchen is in the heart of the Ruhr Area and thus easy to reach from all directions.
The A42 goes from Duisburg to Dortmund (from west to east) and the most common exits are Gelsenkirchen-Heßler and Gelsenkirchen-Schalke/Horst. Just follow the directions/ signs to "Nordsternpark".

Parking

The main parking area is right in front of the entrance of the Amphitheater. However, this parking lot’s capacity is limited and only a part of the visitors will be able to find a space there. On the map you will find overflow parking lots which are between 5 and 20 minutes walking distance away.

"Wild Parking" on the surrounding footpaths or lawns should be avoided in your own interest since this will be fined by the city of Gelsenkirchen.

For campers there will be a loading zone where they can load/unload their cars. The procedure for loading/ unloading is the following: After quickly unloading/ loading the car, one of you removes the car immediately from the loading zone, so everybody can get to the camping area quickly. Parking in the loading zone is strictly forbidden. The distance from the loading zone to the entrance of the camping area is only 150 metres.

Tents or Pavillions are forbidden in the parking area!
